Jordan to erect new three dams

Jordanian Minister of Water and Irrigation Munzir Haddadin has decided to carry out necessary studies so as to build three dams in Jordan.

One dam is located on Rajib valley, another on Kafer Njah valley and the third on al-Yabis Valley with the objective to store water for different uses.

In another development, the Turkish daily Joumhoryat on Monday said Jordan is joining the strategic alliance between Turkey and Israel, noting that Turkish soldiers are being trained to adapt to desert conditions in the Jordanian territories.

The daily added, in return, that there are Jordanian soldiers in Turkey who are trained in Ankara, a matter which has proven Jordan's effective participation in the strategic cooperation between Turkey and Israel.

The Turkish daily added that Jordanian Crown Prince Hassan Bin Talal discussed during his meeting with Turkish President Suleyman Demirel the military dimension in the relations between the two countries.
