One million cell-phones within five years

The agreement to establish the second cellular telephone network in Egypt was signed yesterday. The network will be established by Egyptian, American and British companies in cooperation with one another.
After signing the agreement, Soleiman Metwali, the Egyptian minister of transportation, said that these companies cooperated together and established a company named Egyptphone and that Egyptphone will pay LE1.755 to the government in return for the authorization to establish the cellular network.
Metwali said that Egyptphone will establish one million phone lines in Egypt within five years, servicing all of Egypt.
