Gulf countries demand that Washington free $75 million in frozen assets

The Arab Gulf countries will formally demand that the U.S. free frozen assets worth $75 million, owned by the Arab Bank for Investment and Foreign Trade. These funds have been frozen since 1992 on the grounds that they are Libyan money.
Financial sources said that the Gulf group who will begin the coming negotiations with the U.S. on May 21-22 decided to add the subject of freezing the Arab bank's balances to the agenda of the round tour of the U.S. - Gulf talks.
