Japan to contribute $100 million Suez canal bridge

Egypt and Japan have signed an agreement to establish a bridge for cars above the Egyptian Suez canal to facilitate transportation between Sinai and the neighboring provinces.
Engineer Solieman Metwali, the Egyptian minister of transportation, said Japan will contribute $100 million to building this bridge while Egypt will contribute $50 million, as Japanese and Egyptian companies will cooperate to on the project.
Metwali said the process of constructing the bridge will last for 30 months.
