Palestinian attorney general resigns

The Palestinian attorney general, Fayez Abu Rahma, resigned yesterday from his post. Informed sources said the reason was his objection over the detention process, undertaken by the Palestinian police without issuing judicial orders and as a protest over preventing human rights groups from visiting Hamas members in prisons.
