Sheikh Ahmed Yassin heads to South Africa

Hamas spiritual leader Sheikh Ahmed Yassin's visit to Kuwaiti was postponed, as Kuwaiti sources told ArabicNews.com that Yassin's visit was only postponed, not canceled, due to his current visit to London.
Sheikh Yassin received invitations from the United Arab Emirates and Yemeni president Ali Abdullah Saleh as well as an invitation from South Africa, to which Sheikh Yassin decided to arrive in the middle of the current week after ending his visit to Iran.
The executive manager for eastern Mediterranean African studies in Johannesburg said that Jewish organizations in South Africa have lobbied President Nelson Mandela, asking the South African government to cancel the visit.
