Arab national conference asks for resolution of disputes between Arab states
Regional, Politics, 4/30/1998
The eighth Arab national conference being held in Cairo reiterated at the conclusion of its session the importance of confronting Israeli policies and practices, especially the settlement policy in the occupied Arab territories, Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu's insistence on ignoring legitimacy resolutions and his refusal to implement ratified agreements.
Thus the conference's participants demanded the resolution of disputes between Arab states as soon as possible, practical contexts for solidarity and the establishment of an Arab court of justice.
The conference also called for eliminating the inequality in the regional balance of power, which tends to benefit Israel. They also discussed threats to Arab states within the military alliance between Turkey and Israel.
