Moroccan prime minister meets with AL secretary

Morocco's Prime Minister Abdul Rahman al-Youssifi today received Arab League Secretary-General Esmat Abdul Meguid and reviewed with him the main political and economic topics in the Arab arena, foremost developments pertaining to the Palestinian question. Talks also dealt with activities and mechanism of the AL in reviving common Arab projects.
Meanwhile, in statements to the Saudi daily al-Bilad issued today, Abdul Meguid said the situation in the region has reached a grave state that requires hard efforts to avert a catastrophe.
Concerning the situation in Algeria, Abdul Meguid said life in Algeria is proceeding normally, noting that "terrorism is being eliminated and facing fatal end." He indicated that the pan Arab anti-terrorist pact recently signed in Cairo constitutes real support for the efforts made by Algeria to fight terrorism.
The AL Secretary General asserted the need of restoring Arab solidarity and common Arab action to challenge conspiracies hatched against the Arab nation and build a constructive Arab cooperation.
