European-Gulf conference opened today in London

The European-Gulf conference opened today in London with the participation of the foreign ministers of the countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and the foreign ministers of the European Troika states -- Britain, Luxembourg, and Austria -- to discuss several issues of concern to the two sides.
They will also discuss relations between the GCC and the EU, the crisis in the Gulf region and the Middle East peace process.
The GCC foreign ministers will debate other topics with their European counterparts, including terrorism and the question of seeking political asylum in the European states.
