International symposium discusses Islam and human rights

The international symposium "Islam and Human Rights" will start today in Paris, sponsored by the International Islamic Council and the Union of Islamic Organizations in Paris.
The Saudi Minister of Islamic affairs, Abdul El-Turki, will participate in the Symposium that will deal with subjects such as Islam, human rights, humanity's position in Islamic, and women in Islam.
El-Turki stated that the symposium comes at the initiative of Moslem scientists and thinkers in order to help correct prohibitions from which some societies are suffering, to stop aggressions against human dignity, rights and security and to put an end to violations of women's dignity.
The headquarters of the Union of Islamic Organizations will be inaugurated in Paris next Friday.
