Jordan-Tunisia-Denmark, Politics, 4/29/1998
In the second day of his visit to Denmark, Jordan's King Hussein opened the Jordanian-Danish business conference in Copenhagen yesterday. The conference aimed at boosting trade relations and attracting Danish investors to Jordan's development projects.
In his inaugural remarks, King Hussein said that peace in the Middle East was fundamental to securing socioeconomic growth and prosperity in the region.
The Jordan Businessmen's Association and the Danish Industry Federation signed an agreement which stipulates that a joint trade council should be established to promote economic cooperation between both states.
Jordan's King Hussein is due to leave Denmark for Tunisia today to start a two-day visit to the North African state, which is expected to focus on the state of the Middle East peace process and the possibility of getting it out of its current crisis, including a possible Arab summit. The talks will also address the general Arab situation and horizons for enhancing Arab solidarity.
King Hussein will meet with Tunisian president Zein El-Abdin Ben Ali during his visit.
