Egypt FM arrives in Gaza for Palestinian-Egyptian joint committee meetings

Egyptian Foreign Minister Amr Moussa and Palestinian Minister of Planning Nabil Shaath signed today four agreements for supporting scientific, commercial, cultural and economic cooperation between the two countries. These agreements came after the meetings of the joint committee in Gaza.
Ambassador Sayed Abu Zeid, the Egyptian minister's counselor, said these agreements include preventing the tax duplicity, encouraging as well as protecting the investments, and the cooperation in agriculture, education, tourism, culture, and transportation.
In statements to reporters he said he will discuss with Palestinian officials the latest developments concerning the peace process in light of the tour of US Middle East peace process coordinator Dennis Ross to the region. Moussa will also deliver a speech today before the Palestinian Legislative Council on the current deadlock in the Middle East peace process.
Moussa arrived today in Gaza to preside over the Egyptian delegation to the meetings of the Egyptian-Palestinian joint higher committee.
