Oman, Iran hold parliamentary talks

Speaker of the Omani Shoura council Abdullah Bin Ali al-Qutbi met on Sunday in Muscat with Chairman of the Iranian Shoura council Ali Akbar Nateq Nouri and members of the accompanying delegation, who arrived in Oman on Saturday for a three-day official visit..

The Gulf News Agency said the two sides stressed relations between the two Shoura councils and underlined the importance of boosting these relations for meeting the interests of the peoples of Oman and Iran.

Following the meeting Nateq Nouri said the two sides agreed to form a friendship committee between the two councils, noting positive results have been attained in the service of the two sides and would be announced at the conclusion of his current visit to Oman.

Nouri also met with Oman's ministers of foreign affairs, defense and trade and industry and exchanged with them views on issues of mutual interests and means developing cooperation relations in all walks of life.
