Israeli army kills two Lebanese children

Israeli forces on Sunday morning shelled several towns and villages in south Lebanon. Lebanese security sources said the Israeli shelling targeted Kafra, Yater and Hares towns.
In retaliation, the Lebanese national resistance forces attacked the occupation position in Balat in the occupied part of south Lebanon.
Earlier in the day, Lebanese resistance fighters attacked the Israeli position in Shaf. Lebanese resistance sources said one of its resistance groups attacked a joint position for the occupation forces and the Israeli-backed Lahd militias at al-Qabaa valley. The attackers scored direct hits during the two attacks, the sources noted.
On Saturday the Israeli forces violated the April Understanding by carrying out attacks on densely populated areas in south Lebanon. Lebanese security sources said two Lebanese children were wounded when an Israeli artillery shell fell on Balat district at UNIFIL's Nepalese contingent's position in Kafra town in the western sector of south Lebanon.
The sources added that the shelling also targeted civilain districts in Yater and al-Botoum mountain areas.
Meantime, citizens of Arabsalim town in south Lebanon called on the International Red Cross to pressure the Israeli forces to halt their continuous aggression against the town, and to stop violating the April Understanding agreement. In a statement they issued on Saturday, the people of Arabsalim said the perpetuated Israeli aggressions against the town aim at besieging it.
Earlier in the day, the Israeli occupation forces bombarded with heavy artillery the outskirts of Majdal Zoun and al-Dub valley in south Lebanon.
