U.N. human rights commissioner to visit Morocco
Morocco-UN, Culture, 4/27/1998
United Nations' High Commissioner for Human Rights, Mary Robinson, who will visit Morocco early next week, said her stay in Morocco will be an opportunity to consolidate cooperation between Morocco and the U.N. body.
In an interview with MAP's bureau in Geneva, Robinson termed cooperation between Morocco and the U.N. High Commissioner for Human Rights as "well advanced" compared to other African countries.
During her stay in Morocco, Robinson will attend the first Mediterranean meeting of National Institutions for Human Rights Protection and Promotion, to be organized in Marrakesh (southern Morocco) by the Moroccan Human Rights Advisory Council on April 27-29.
