Russian kidnapped as Briton is to be freed in Yemen

Yemeni President Ali Abdullah Saleh said that a Russian citizen was kidnapped on Thursday in the Abin district of south Yemen.
Interviewed by the Qatari satellite TV al-Jazira, the Yemeni President said that a police officer on Thursday kidnapped the Russian citizen. President Saleh did not provide any further details.
Meanwhile, the Yemeni President noted that the British hostages held by Bani Zubian tribe since one week will be freed within the coming hours. David Mitchell who works in the British Cultural center in Aden, his wife Caroline and son were heading to Sanaa airport to fly to Britain when they were kidnapped.
