11 killed in Algerian al-Medyah, al-Balida provinces

Algerian dailies Le Matin and al-Aseel on Thursday reported that six persons were killed on Tuesday in al-Medyah province, 100 km south of the capital Algiers in attacks attributed to armed groups.
Le Matin said that five persons whose identities were not disclosed were killed as a result of an explosion in a rigged shelter in Tleilat al-Dour when they tried to defuse the ambush, adding that the five killed persons were taking part in operations with the Algerian security forces.
MENA noted that al-Aseel daily added that a 90-year old man was killed in a bomb explosion, adding an attack by "Hib-Hib" hand-made explosives used by the "Islamists groups" in Algeria was launched in Bushrahil village in al-Medyah province.
