Monitoring group meets as south Lebanon fighting continues

The April Understanding Monitoring Committee on Thursday met at UNIFIL headquarters in the Lebanese border town of Nakoura, in the presence of all members. The committee will discuss six complaints, three of which were lodged by Lebanon objecting to recent Israeli attacks which targeted civilians in south Lebanon.
Meantime, the Israeli occupation forces on Thursday shelled with heavy artillery the outskirts of Kafra, Yater, Haris and Wadi Mariamin valley. Reports from south Lebanon said the Israeli artillery bombardment covered the woods of Sujud - Raihan and Aqmat farm in al-Tuffah district.
For its part, the Lebanese resistance carried out a series of operations against the Israeli troops in the occupied part of south Lebanon. In a statement, the resistance said its forces attacked occupation positions in Bier Klab, Sujoud, al-Radar and al-Salaa in the occupied part of south Lebanon with machine-guns and rockets, scoring direct hits.
