New Turkish policy towards Damascus

The Jordanian weekly al-Hadath said in its recent issue that the Kurdish Labor Party thinks the Turkish government led by Mesout Yelmaz is currently pursuing a new policy in its policy with Damascus after it failed in its policy of blackmailing and exerting pressures on Damascus.
The paper added that leaders of the Kurdish Labor Party, Abdullah Oglan, expects Turkey will make his party the catalyst for escalating relations with Damascus.
In this respect, Oglan indicated a Turkish initiative to convene a summit comprising Damascus, Ankara, Baghdad and Tehran to discuss the Kurdish question.
