Jordan -Tunisia tax-free zone signed

Jordan's Prime Minister and his Tunisian counterpart met yesterday in the Tunisian capital to sign a tax-free zone agreement to expand trade exchange between their countries.
The two sides reviewed the prospects for cooperation between them in industrial fields as well as the exchange of expertise and data in this regard.
The two countries signed a protocol to exchange expertise in the investments field. Both Jordan and Tunisia agreed to establish a joint business council, cooperate in the fields of agriculture, transport, tourism, environment, culture, education, sports, judiciary, security, health and information.
They also held political talks that covered various issues of concern to them.
Jordan and Tunisia expressed satisfaction over level of cooperation and consultation between them on the Arab and international levels.
On the political level, the two sides reviewed the situation in the Middle East and developments in the peace process. They affirmed the need to put the peace process back on the track to achieve a lasting and just peace.
They called on Israel to withdraw from the Golan Heights and resume talks with Syria at the point from which they left off.
