AL, Francophone group sign accord

The Arab League and the Francophone Organization on Tuesday in Cairo signed a protocol on joint cooperation to realize peace and reactivate international cooperation.
The protocol was cosigned by Arab League Secretary-General Esmat Abdul Meguid and the Francophone Organization's Secretary-General Butros Ghali.
Meguid stressed that the protocol aims at consolidating relations between the two organizations. For his part, Ghali said signing the protocol means achieving joint goals.
