Palestinian - European security cooperation agreement

British Prime Minister Tony Blair signed an agreement for Palestinian - European security cooperation, dictating that both the European Union and the Palestinian government agree upon establishing a new frame aiming at developing joint cooperation concerning with the security cooperation, and they agreed to establish a permanent security committee.

The committee will include the security advisor for the European Union, the head of public intelligence, the head of the security bodies in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank or their representatives. The committee will meet periodically and regularly according to the demand of either party and in times of crisis.

The participation will be confined internationally to the representatives of the Palestinian government and the EU, but it can be expanded to include those who exert efforts to combat terrorism.
