Qatar population still under one million

The most recent census conducted in Qatar states that its population is 532,230. AFP quoted the chairman of the central statistical department in Qatar Muhammad al-Nueimi as saying that this figure includes Qatari citizens as well as foreigners and represents an increase of 41% over the 1986 census.
