UAE's medicine for Iraq

The United Arab Emirates Red Crescent Society said on Monday that it has dispatched medicines to Iraq at a cost of US $548,000. AFP quoted an official in the society as saying his society intends to open an office in the Iraqi capital by the end of this year to distribute humanitarian aid.
Since 1996 the UAE Red Crescent society has sent aid to Iraq estimated at a value of US $5.48 million. In February, the UAE sent two aircraft to Iraq loaded with 80 tons of foodstuffs, medicines and garments.
