Zeroual discussed as chairman of the party

The chairman of the preparatory committee for the conference of the Algerian Democratic National Assembly, El-Taher Bin Bealaish, has said the conference will begin its activities on April 23 in the conference palace.

Bealaish said that the conference will last for three days and will be attended by 140 of the party's members who will elect members of the national council for the party, which is comprised of 215 to 235 members. The national council will then elect members of the political bureau, which is comprised of 11 members.

An informed source confirmed to ArabicNews.com that consultations are currently taking place among the leading members of several of the parties that make up the National Democratic Assembly to nominate Zeroual as the party's chairmanship.
