British family kidnapped in Yemen
Yemen-UK, Local, 4/20/1998

The British embassy in Sanaa on Sunday said that a teacher at the British cultural center in Aden David Mitchell was kidnapped on Thursday along with his wife and 14 year-old son.

AFP quoted the UK charge d' affairs in the British embassy David Percy as saying that Mitchell (48) was kidnapped in Zammar when he was coming back from Aden to Sanaa with his wife Caroline and son Ben, by men from the Bani Zubyan tribe. Percy expressed worries because the embassy had not been contacted by the kidnappers or by the victims.
