EU, Tunisia sign cooperation agreement

Tunisia and the European Union today signed an accord for the EU to donate US $10.7 million in Tunisian loans in the three coming years in order to enable Tunisia to improve its economy.
The accord was cosigned by the Tunisian foreign investment and international cooperation minister, Muhammad Ghannoush, and an EU envoy. In a statement, the EU office said the aim of the agreement is to improve competition of construction companies, alleviate pressure on the state's budget and increase revenues.
