Israel cancels decision to impose Israeli identity on Syrian Golan citizens

The BBC on Saturday quoted the London-based Middle East daily as reporting "an Israeli decision to cancel imposing Israeli nationality on the Syrian people of the Golan." The daily noted that this Israeli measure coincided with the celebrations held by the people of the Golan on Syria's Evacuation Day anniversary.
