Lebanese resistance escalated against Israeli occupation, SLA soldier injured
Lebanon-Israel, Military, 4/20/1998

A pro-Israeli soldier was wounded on Sunday when his position came under rockets attack in the occupied part of south Lebanon, according to a Lebanese source.

The source added that the attack took place on the Muhaibib position of the Israeli-supported South Lebanon Army, almost two km north of the Israeli borders, noting that the militia man was treated on the spot.

On Saturday, the Lebanese resistance carried out a number of military operations against the Israeli occupation and the SLA militia.

In a statement, the resistance said groups of resistance fighters attacked the position held by Israeli occupation forces and the SLA in al-Ahmadiyeh, al-Dabshe, Sujud, Bier Klab, Kassarat al-Aroush, Barasheet and Hadatha areas. The attacks, in which machine-guns, rockets and mortars were used, caused direct hits among the position's elements.

Meanwhile, Israeli occupation forces continued to attack areas adjacent to the occupied part of south Lebanon.
