Egypt-Indian set prepare for more trade

The Egyptian - Indian committee will hold its coming meeting at the end of 1998 under the leadership of the Egyptian foreign minister and his Indian counterpart, during which they will discuss a set of new measures to enhance bilateral cooperation in various fields, especially relating to economics and trade.
The participation agreement between the two countries and setting up a cooperation program for medium and smaller industries will be at the top of the agenda that will be discussed within the committee's meeting.
The secretary-general of Egyptian Trade Chambers Union, Abdul Sattar Ashaera, said they have agreed to solve the problems of loading and air transportation between Egypt and India to activate the exchange of goods during discussions between the Egyptian aviation company and the Indian Civil Aviation Department. The two agreed to solve problems that accumulated over the space of five years to facilitate an increase in Egyptian exports to India.
He also said that they are currently forming an Egyptian - Indian joint council to establish exhibitions for Egyptian products in India, referring to the recent successful visit, of the Egyptian foreign trade and supply minister and his meetings with Indian businessmen.
The Egyptian - Indian committee held its last meeting in New Delhi during April 1997.
