Hariri to clarify Lebanon's position to Cairo
Lebanon-Egypt, Politics, 4/17/1998
Diplomatic sources in Cairo told ArabicNews.com that Lebanese Prime Minister Rafik Hariri will visit Cairo next week to meet with Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak, the Prime Minister Kamal El-Ganzouri, other high-ranking officials, and Arab and Egyptian businessmen within an international and Arab tour to explain the Lebanese position toward the Israeli conditional proposal for withdrawing from south Lebanon.
Hariri will review with president Mubarak the meetings of Lebanese - Syrian - Lattakia summit, Lebanese efforts concerning the peace process and the Lebanese rejection of Israeli efforts to place conditions on the implementation of Security Council resolution 425.
Earlier reports said the visit was not intended to explain Lebanon's position on the UN resolution 425 regarding the Israeli conditional proposal from Lebanon.
