Jordanians against partnership with Israel

The secretary-general of the Baath Party organization in Jordan, Mahmoud Ma'etah, warned against grave consequences from the new partnership between Israel and Jordan in setting up joint factories and free zones in Irbid and Sheikh Hussein bridge.
In a statement to the Jordanian daily al-Mathaq issued on Wednesday al-Ma'etah said the joint ventures between Jordan and Israel aim at imposing normalization in the service of the Israeli economy, which he said inflicts heavy losses on the Jordanian economy. He called for efforts to prevent Israeli control of the Jordanian economy.
