Expected Mubarak - Bashir summit to discuss external plot against Sudan

Informed sources have confirmed that the expected meeting between President Hosni Mubarak of Egypt and Omar El-Bashir of Sudan will focus on external plots to which Sudan says it is exposed.

Sudan believes it is being exposed to a plot that aims at toppling the government and President Omar El-Bashir, and that this plot came into being through secret meetings between assistants to southern Sudanese rebel leader John Garang and certain military officials in neighboring African countries.

Sudanese officials have said the US has a role in the plot against Sudan, and reports say Israeli military advisors will visit Eritrea during the coming days to negotiate the Israeli role in toppling Bashir.
