Sudanese government drops food from air

The Sudanese government announced intensive air drops of food in Bahr al-Ghazal state to shore up available nutrition in the area, which is affected by draught. The official in charge of humanitarian aid in Sudan, Hussein El-Ebied, said that 34 trucks have reached Raja city with supplies to be distributed in Bahr al-Ghazal, adding that efforts continue to transpot the largest-possible quantities of food before summer begins.
