Moussa heading to Bahrain for talks

Egyptian Foreign Minister Amr Moussa is leaving on Wednesday for Manama, Bahrain where he will deliver a message from Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak to Bahraini Emir Sheikh Issa bin Salman al-Khalifa.

During his two-day visit, Moussa will hold prolonged talks with his Bahraini counterpart, Sheikh Muhammad bin Mubarak al-Khalifa, focused on discussing the details and developments of the current Arab situation in addition to the current crisis in the Middle East peace process.

The talks will also tackle the current Bahraini membership in the UN Security Council. Moussa said that Bahrain has a special role because of its Security Council membership and said there will be important consultations with officials in Manama.

Moussa's talks will also tackle will tackle recent developments in the Gulf region rather than methods of enhancing bilateral relations, especially before the meetings of Bahraini - Egyptian high joint committee within the coming weeks.
