Israel expands settlements in Jordan valley

Chairman of the settlements council in Jordan Valley, David Levy, said on Tuesday that the Israeli authorities has confiscated during recent months hundreds of hectares of Palestinian territories to expand the Jordan Valley settlements in the West Bank. On Sunday, Israeli Infrastructure Minister Ariel Sharon promised settlers in Jordan Valley that Israel would annex more lands and build hundreds of houses for Israelis.
