One hundred people killed in Algeria during al-Adha festivities

Algerian dailies published on Thursday spoke about the death of more than 100 civilians and Islamists extremists in Algeria during Eid al-Adha celebrations
The Algerian security forces said that 52 civilians were slaughtered in attacks against villages and suburbs of Aurzo city, the main outlet for oil and gas exports in northwestern Algeria, including 36 persons Sunday night and 16 persons Tuesday night.
The Algerian al-Watan daily said that during one of these attacks some 15 armed indiviuals slaughtered 28 persons among four families in a farm in the outskirts of Aurzo, including a four-month infant and several pregnant women, adding that four women were raped before being slaughtered and just one 10-year old boy survived the massacres.
In another attack on Tuesday some 15 to 20 extremists attacked two houses in Beer Bin Abid district in al-Medyah province south of the capital and killed 12 persons, Al-Nahar reported. Family members were killed in the same area as a result of a bomb explosion implanted near their house the report said.
