Causalities of Haj stampede reached 118 pilgrims

The final statement by the Saudi Health Ministry said today that total number of pilgrims killed in a stampede during the Haj pilgrimage reached 118. Earlier statements by the ministry estimated the number of dead at 107.
Among the victims in the Mena stampede were 33 Asian pilgrims.
The official in charge of the Indian pilgrims' mission, Zikr al-Rahman, said some 24 elderly Indian men and women died in the incident, whereas Pakistan's consul in Mecca, Wahid Ahmad, said seven Pakistani pilgrims died.
So far, the Indonesian mission in Mecca said two Indonesian pilgrims died, Kuwaiti authorities said one Kuwaiti pilgrim died and the Egyptian authorities announced the death of two Egyptian pilgrims.
