Fines for company owners who breach privatization contracts

Atef Ebid, the Egyptian minister of the public works sector, announced that the government is concerned with applying the privatization contracts ratified between it and the new private sector owners of public companies. The government will apply legal procedures if any violation occurs in the implementation. The minister also said the privatization contracts dictate large financial penalties for violators.
