Egypt and Europe make progress on agreements relating to trade

The ambassador Gamal El-Bayoumi, the Egyptian assistant foreign minister and head of Egypt's delegation in the participation's negotiations, stated that both Egypt and Europe finished a large part of the agreements for Egyptian - European participation and reached a context upon which the two parties agreed on some main points.
Comprehensive intellectual property protection agreements were reached that provides Egypt with a period of seven years for the comprehensive application of the agreements.
It was also decided to provide all Egyptians employed in Europe with international legal rights. They also agreed to improve the system of issuing visas to Egyptians, especially businessmen, who plan to visit European countries.
The ambassador said the two sides are currently preparing for the coming round of negotiations in three weeks, during which they will concentrate on unresolved issues and issues concerning food products.
