37 killed in Algeria

The Armed Islamic Group in Algeria killed 37 persons on Sunday night. In a statement, Algerian security sources said security forces arrived immediately at the site of the massacre to provide help to the victims, while another security group carried out a vast mopping up operation, starting an intense manhunt in search for those who carried out the massacre.
In a statement the security forces said 27 people were massacred and one was wounded in Bu Karbia farm in Oran province.
In another statement the Algerian security forces said on Monday that 8 persons were slaughtered in Mseila province, 200 km southeast of the Algerian capital.
During the two last days, the Algerian security forces killed 30 armed men and destroyed nine of their shelters in Bumerdas Province.
Algerian dailies on Monday reported that ten members of the armed group surrendered to local authorities last week in Sidi Bel Abbas province.
On Saturday the armed groups killed two citizens in al-Hamadanieh city in al-Medyah province, whereas a bomb was exploded in Housh al-Faraj near Muaskar city resulted in the death of one person, while three others were reported as wounded.
