Syrian deputy Foreign Minister to visit Turkey

Diplomatic sources said Syria's Deputy Foreign Minister Adnan Omran will visit Ankara in few days following al-Adha Eid, London based al-Hayat daily reported.
Al-Hayat said yesterday that according to Western diplomatic sources, the Turkish ambassador in Damascus is currently making consultations in Ankara on Omran's expected visit.
The sources said this visit falls in the course of steps taken by the two countries to initiate bilateral dialogue on the background of a Turkish commitment to slow down its military cooperation with Israel and a Syrian commitment to halt campaigns against Turkey.
