Jordan signs contracts for waste water project

Jordan's minister of water and irrigation signed two agreements with Jordanian local companies and one with a US company to implement a JD 25 million in a waste water project in Wadi-Mussa area.
"The US Agency for International Development will provide Jordan with 90% of the funds needed for the project, which is to be completed in two years," Jordanian Minister Munthir Haddadin told the reporteres.
"The three-phase project comprises a waste water treatment plant, pumping station to deliver the treated water to high surrounding areas as well as the network," he added.
"The project will provide a total of 1.25 million cubic metres of treated water anniually to be used for agricultural purposes," he stated.
