Saeb Erekat briefs AL on the results of Ross tour
Regional-Palestine, Politics, 4/6/1998

Esmat Abdel Meguid, the secretary-general of the Arab League, held a meeting yesterday afternoon, with deputies from the Arab League's member states to discuss and activate resolutions taken by the league's council in its last session on March 24 - 25.

Saeb Erekat, the Palestinian minister of local government and leading Palestinian negotiator, participated in yesterday's meeting to learn the recent resolution of the Arab League concerning the Palestinians and the peace process.

After the meeting, Abdel Meguid stated that Erekat briefed him about the recent developments in the peace process within the failure of the last visit of US coordinator Dennis Ross to the region.

Egyptian Foreign Minister Amr Moussa held a meeting with Erekat yesterday in which they discussed the deadlocked Middle East peace process within what was stated about Israeli efforts to prevent any US initiative for reviving the peace process.
