Yemen attempts to halt the escape of Somali people to it

A Yemeni diplomatic source said that the head of the Coast Guard authorized his forces to prevent any Somali boats carrying Somali refugees from reaching the Yemeni coast.
The number of Somalis fleeing from the civil war in Somalia to Yemen has increased despite the fact that most of them die either by their boats sinking or by being shot.
Carrying the Somali refugees to Yemen has become a widespread trade during the last year, especially after the deterioration of the situation in Somalia. Owners of boats take in $100 for each refugee.
