Tunis erects Largest dairy factory in Africa

Works are underway in the Tunisian city of Safaqis to erect the largest dairy factory in Africa, to be financed by private sector investments estimated at US $15 million.
The factory is expected to be open by the beginning of September 1998 with an initial production capacity of 30,000 liters of milk per day in the first phase and production to exceed 50,000 liters per day in the second phase.
The number of workers in the factory is not to exceed 150 technicians and specialists.
