Syrian President, vice- President confer with Hariri

Syrian President Hafez al-Assad on Wednesday received Lebanese Prime Minister Rafik Hariri.
Talks dealt with developments in the region, current Arab and international contacts in this respect and efforts to consolidate the Arab stand against enemy maneuvers.
Earlier in the day, Syrian Vice-President Abdul Halim Khaddam met with Hariri in the presence of Lebanese Information Minister Bassem al-Sabaa. Talks dealt with Israeli policy toward the Middle East peace process and Israeli maneuvers pertaining to UN resolution 425.
