Israeli gunships shell farms in coastal areas

Lebanese security sources said the Israeli artillery shelled the hills of al-Tuffah district, the course of al-Taseh spring, the outskirts of Lweizeh and Aqmata, and the woods of Sujud and al-Raihan. The bombardment also covered the outskirts of Zouter, Qaqayet al-Jesr, and the woods surrounding the Litani riverbed.

Lebanese security sources said the Israeli gunships shelled farms in coastal areas extending from Raas al-Ein town to al-Mansouri. Israeli warplanes and helicopters flew intensively over the targeted areas.

Earlier in the day, the Lebanese national resistance attacked a South Lebanon Army armored vehicle at the Sujud position with rockets and machine-guns, scoring direct hits.

The number resistance operations carried out by the Lebanese resistance against the Israeli forces and their SLA allies in the occupied part of south Lebanon during the three past months reached 299.

In a statement, the Lebanese resistance said these operations resulted in the killing of four Israeli soldiers, and 39 soldiers were reported as wounded. Eight SLA members were killed and 12 wounded. The statement also said 16 resistance men were killed during these operations.

The statements noted that during March the resistance carried out 114 operations against Israeli troops and Lahd's militias.
