Iranian president is to visit UAE to close case of three islands

Iranian sources in Cairo said that Iranian President Mohammed Khatami will visit the United Arab Emirates very soon. No specific date was set for the visit, but he preferred to hold it within the current month, the source said.
He also said that the meeting came according to a call directed to him from UAE President Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al-Nahyan, pointing out that the call will be returned at the proper time.
The Iranian official expected that the three Emirate islands, Greater and Lesser Tanb and Abu Mousa, will come at the top of the Iranian and UAE leaders' agenda, and if they reach a solution, all Iranian - Arab disputes will be resolved.
Iranian - Arab relations are viewing an improvement since President Khatami assumed power in Iran.
