Yemen denies tribal confrontation

An official Yemeni source on Monday denied reports of fighting between two tribes in the province of Zummar, 80 km South of the capital, Sanaa. The Yemeni news agency, Sabaa, quoted the governor of Zummar, Muhammad Hajib, as saying as saying "these reports are .. groundless."
On Sunday foreign media said fighting erupted between two tribes in the province, and 30 persons were reported to be killed, al-Safir said.
